Rotary "KIDS AT HEART" GOLF CLASSIC

The Rotary “Kids At Heart” Golf Classic is the major source of funding for the “Kids at Heart” Program. The program began with a simple idea – addressing the issues that children face as they navigate through their school years.

It was evident as we looked around at what was happening in our community and around the world that Kids needed us now more than ever. That gave us a golden opportunity to expand our scope and focus our fundraising efforts on helping more kids deal with the many issues they face every day.

Rotary “Kids at Heart” Golf Classic will focus on:

Kids who have nowhere to sleep at night.
Kids who are being bullied in person or taunted on social media.
Kids who are facing family turmoil.
Kids who trying to fit in.
Kids who go to school hungry.

The impact the funds raised through the tournament is significant. As a sponsor of the Rotary “Kids At Heart” Golf Classic you can play a major role in changing lives.

Each year, the Rotary “Kids at Heart” Golf Classic Committee will select one or more Charities to benefit from the significant funds raised by the tournament and the support of our Sponsors, Donors, Volunteers and Supporters. This Rotary "Kids at Heart" Golf Classic is truly a one-of-a-kind tournament. Not only is it a full day of fun, great food, and fantastic people on the beautiful Cottonwood Golf & Country Club Resort, I know my involvement benefits causes that help so many kids who need our help now more than ever.

Young people have always been a focus of the Rotary Club of Calgary at Stampede Park and a personal passion of mine and my family. The success of our club’s golf tournament, now the Rotary "Kids at Heart" Golf Classic, will allow us to support at-risk youth programs in the Calgary community with significant funds that can truly change lives and build futures. I am ever so proud to support this important cause.

Every golfer has an opportunity to qualify for the Peloton Million Dollar Shootout. The two Amateur golfers who are closest to the pin on each of the Par 3 holes will qualify for a chance to win $1,000,000. The competition will take place at the end of the tournament. Qualifying golfers will be shooting from the 18th fairway on a revised tee set at a minimum of 165 yards from the flag.
